YKK Center Park: A Facility for Industrial Tourism

The Panoramic View from the Niikawa Farm
This elevated prairie commands a great view of both the entire Kurobe River Delta and the surrounding Northern Alps. Here, cattle and horses are raised, grazing on the abundant pasture. This temple garden is skillfully laid out with trees that are beautifully raised and groomed, along with great stone monoliths, ponds and curiously shaped rocks. This garden is maintained in the traditional Japanese style, and it is well known among such gardens in Japan. Akebi’s Great Cherry Tree and the Elegant Chigo Dance
On the temple grounds of Akebiyama Houfukuji, built in the 9th century, there is a great cherry tree that has stood for over 400 years. When the tree blooms, young boys perform the graceful chigo dance below its blossoms as an offering to the local spirits.(photo4)
